Daughter Rules
1. Eat what you want, as much as you want.
2. They do what they do, and we do what we do.
3. You are who you are, not what people say you are.
4. We don't talk business at the table. [I said it once and now she has adopted it and repeats it.]
5. A place for everything and everything in its place.
6. That's why they put erasers on the ends of pencils.

Our oldest son's favorite expression is "I do what I want" and he uses it in virtually every situation. (He says that but he's actually quite amiable and almost always does what we want. I don't know how we got so lucky.)
As for talking business at home, that's all we ever did with our kids and now the oldest wants to go to law school. I'm not surprised. He was born and bred for it.
... and I'd say you have a budding lawyer there.
"Mine" still wants to be a cheerleader. I want her to be Admiral of the Galactic Fleet. As a compromise, I tell her that President Bush was both a cheerleader and a fighter pilot.
My son's favorite is "You're smart. Dad's smart. The two of you made me together, so that must mean I'm smarter than either of you!"
She's smarter than me because she has a young brain and I have an old brain.
