What Is Truth?
Your wife asks, “Does this dress make me look fat?”
You think it does. But if you say “Yes”, you will be a liar. You will actually be saying, “I don’t love you or respect you, the mother of my children, and I don’t care if I hurt your feelings”. If you say, “No, you look great”, that is the real truth. Not the politically-correct truth. The truth in your heart and mind.*
*If you were to say, “I’m not sure. Take it off and come over here while I think about it”, it will be the truth in your glands, as well.

nk, I imagine my political opinion is not too welcome here, but I did want to express to you the essential correctness of what you wrote in that Patterico thread.
Goldstein is a terrifying "victim"/aggressor, who constantly bites the hand of those who feed him (Karl, Dan, Dan's brother, Mr. Pink, etc). I never liked the banning I received, but the threats afterward were frightening.
What you pointed to on that thread was right on and your observation about Darleen was also right (she uses the tactics she supposedly abhors).
Since this is off-topic, you can delete this comment. But, I wanted to laud you on standing up to a bully. and, don't worry, the next time you want to insult me on Patterico (or vice versa) I won't take it personally.

Well, I'm pretty sure we actual leftists object to being called "pieces of garbage"! And, that blogroll full of Hugh Hewitt's and Protein Wisdom is pretty leftist.
Otherwise, I accept those terms regarding deletion. As far as being insulted on Patterico, there will come a next time. Honestly, the insulting's been so prevalent lately that it's hard to distinguish commenter from other commenter...which is my way of apologizing for not noticing you have stopped.
And saying "No, the dress doesn't make you look fat, those 20 extra pounds make you look fat" is just right out...
