Do I Look Like Dubya?

People keep telling me that I look like President Bush. I suppose that all good-looking people look alike.

2-8-2006: Even I got tired of looking at my pretty face. Posting for a few days is part of the joke but leaving it up permanently is narcissism. You'll just have to use your imagination.

P.S. I might post something later about the blog etiquette of copying and pasting an image from another blog as compared to linking it or even hot-linking it. Or maybe not.

I don't think that you'll be needing any Secret Service protection.

A commenter on Dana's site beat me to it but your picture does not so much inspire me to vote for you as to try to Win Your Money.

Look guys,

I'm not the one claiming to look like Bush. Other people have told me that. Like I said, it's probably just a case that all good-looking people look alike.

I'd be interested to see your posting on etiquette for casual use of found images on blogs. It's one of those topics where one looks for a balance between conflicting values. On the one hand, if you copy the image to your own site you are not stealing bandwidth from the server where you found the image -- but you are stealing the (sometimes copyrighted) image itself and you also lose the informal attribution that the address in a link provides. On the other hand, if you link to the image on the original server you are putting additional load on the other guy's server.

The image to which I linked to suggest that your photo reminded me more of Ben Stein than of President Bush came from this page on Christopher Linnell's web site where he advertizes his services as a celebrity imitator. I dunno if the image is Stein or Linnell. If it's Linnell he's pretty good...

The link I should have used is this one:

It was a dig at Dana, not at you, BigLeeH. Mice nuts. He teased me and I teased him back. If he wants, I will send him an autographed one.
