The Master and Margarita

by Mikhail Bulgakov is one powerful book. Satan goes to Stalinist Moscow to torment the new Soviet bourgioisie who have given themselves up to him. Thanks again to friend BigLeeH for the recommendation.

(I'm at Chapter 16. More to come.)

To Paraphrase The War Hero I Will Vote For

I would rather lose a battle in the Culture Wars than the election in November.

This Election

1. The catch is, if you vote for Palin, you have to vote for McCain;
2. The catch is, if you vote for McCain, you have to vote for Palin;

Pontius Pilate

has always fascinated me. My religion blames him, solely, for the Suffering and Death of Christ. To me he represents the corruption that the spirit suffers when it becomes matter. Inquiry vs. belief; thought vs. prejudice; strength vs. weakness; justice vs. self-interest.

I'm in a William Blake phase, these days. (Or maybe I'm drinking too much.)
